Chermside Family Medical Centre, GP, medical centre

IMPORTANT - DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE UNLESS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY YOUR DOCTOR

From Monday the 30/3/20, ALL CONSULTATIONS WILL BE DONE BY TELEPHONE OR VIDEO CALL.

For safety reasons and to allow for the increased amount of cleaning, THE PRACTICE WILL NOW CLOSE AT 5PM Monday to Friday, and WILL BE CLOSED ON SATURDAYS until further notice.

-----------------------------------------

TO ALL OF OUR PATIENTS - Please appreciate that this is an evolving situation. We are endeavoring to provide the safest possible care throughout this period. While every effort will be made to ensure the timely and accurate nature of information on our website and bookings page, due to the rapidly progressing nature of the situation, this may not always be possible. If in any doubt, please call our reception for clarification.

Your understanding throughout this difficult time is greatly appreciated.

-----------------------------------------

Due to the ongoing and evolving situation with the current coronavirus pandemic, to try and ensure the safety of both our patients and staff, we have had to make some changes to our booking arrangements. Therefore, from Monday the 30/3/20, ALL CONSULTATIONS WILL BE DONE BY TELEPHONE OR VIDEO CALL.

We ask that you DO NOT present to the practice unless specifically requested by your doctor.

We appreciate that some consultations are not able to be facilitated by the telehealth process. If you feel that you need to be seen in person (for example, vaccinations, skin checks, newborn or health assessments, drivers medicals, etc) please call reception to arrange this, and DO NOT use the online booking process.

-----------------------------------------

These changes will enable us to ensure that we are complying with the current social distancing legal requirement, and aid us in minimising transmission of the Covid-19 virus.

There may be a private fee associated with your Telehealth call, depending on Medicare eligibility criteria. This will be explained to you at the initiation of the phone-call or video-call.

While we will make every effort to call you at the arranged time, due to the current health crisis, there may be some delays due to emergency cases and phone network disruptions.

Remember, there are dedicated fever clinics running at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital, and The Prince Charles Hospital.
